Approved since its creation in 2017 by the Alink Argerich Foundation, Les Étoiles du Piano is an international piano competition for pianists aged 18 to 30, of all nationalities.

Organized in the Hauts-de-France region, it aims to promote the talent of musicians at the start of their careers. A real launch pad thanks to the recitals offered to prizewinners at renowned festivals and venues in the Hauts-de-France region, Les Étoiles du Piano also aims to make music accessible to the widest possible audience by offering cultural mediation initiatives.

To make this international competition of excellence as humanistic as it is convivial, great importance is attached to welcoming young candidates during their stay: they are all accommodated in host families.

The 5th edition of Les Étoiles du Piano will take place from November 15th to 22nd, 2025.
Auditions will take place from November 15 to 21, 2025 at the Roubaix Conservatory, and the Gala evening will be held on November 22, 2025 at the theater Le Colisée in Roubaix.

The final is organized with the Picardie Orchestra

Total prize fund of €52,000, including 5 prizes of which the 1st is €20,000.

Recital commitments

The week of auditions takes place at Roubaix Conservatory, which offers les Étoiles du Piano a magnificent setting, combining the traditional brick of the North of France with a majestic modern glass roof.

For this 5th edition, the Philharmonique Picardie Orchestra (national orchestra in the Hauts-de-France region) will accompany the candidates selected to perform in the final. The orchestra will also take part in the gala evening at the theater Le Colisée in Roubaix.

Les Étoiles du Piano competition, along with the Lille Piano(s) Festival, the Muse&Piano festival at Louvre-Lens, the Piano folies festival at Le Touquet, the Saint-Riquier festival and the Laon festival, all contribute to making the Hauts-de-France region a prestigious venue for piano events.
