Program

Important

The entire programme will be performed from memory.
No work created or arranged by the candidate will be accepted
Pieces submitted for the preselection round may not be submitted for subsequent rounds. 
Pieces submitted for the 1st round may not be submitted for the second round.

Pre selection

(video recording to be sent between 01/04/2025 and 01/06/2025)

- A first movement from a classical sonata by Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart or Schubert
- An etude by Chopin or Liszt
- One or more works of your choice for solo piano
 

No piece played in the videos may be played again for the audition programs in November.


Total duration: between 15 and 25 minutes
(.mov or .mp4 format, no web links)

In person at the Conservatoire de Roubaix 15/11/2025 to 22/11/2025 :

1st round

- Free programme including a contemporary etude written after 1944


Total duration: 20 minutes (+/- 2 minutes)


2nd round

- Free programme including an unpublished contemporary work written by Thierry Escaich (Etude Jazz, 7 minutes, published by Billaudot, extract available here).

The full score will be sent to the selected candidates when the results are announced in July.
 

The program may not include works played partially (single sonata movement).


Total duration: 50 to 60 minutes

Final

 

O​ne concerto with Orchestre de Picardie conducted by David Niemann, to be chosen from the list:

  • Beethoven - Piano Concerto n°4 in G minor

  • Mozart - Piano Concerto n°23 in A major

  • Chopin - Piano Concerto n°2 in F minor

  • Saint-Saëns - Piano Concerto n°2 in G minor

  • Schumann - Piano Concerto in A minor

The association "Les Étoiles du Piano", International Piano Competition of Hauts-de-France, is recognized as a public interest organization in July 2017 under the n°W595029207.
Its head office is 106 rue du Courant in Cysoing 59830 in France.
